McCorkell Makes Olympic History

Jenna McCorkell has clinched qualification for next year’s Winter Olympics. The 23 year old from Coleraine will head to Vancouver in February after winning her seventh British Ladies Championship title on Saturday. McCorkell will make history as the first Northern Ireland skater to qualify for the Winter Olympics and with her place in Europe’s top 10 now established, her performances so far this augur well for a top 20 finish when she takes to the ice in Vancouver.
